PRICING

~ PRICES ARE LOWERED FIFTY CENTS PER PAGE IF YOU RESERVE MY TIME BEFORE SUMMER!  Listed prices applicable through May 31, 2015. ~

I run a high-caliber editing service where you receive the excellent quality that you pay for -- and that will be reflected in your reviews, your readership, and your reputation.  Authors' livelihoods depend on Reviews, Readership, and Reputation!

Every document is assessed individually before I begin work, but I have provided average prices for various services I offer.  If you need assistance with a project that is not listed here, please inquire through the Contact Us page :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I receive too many inquiries to be able to assist everyone who contacts me, but if I am unable to help you, I will try to match you with other editing services I trust.  If you have a strict deadline or publication date, please reserve my time at least two weeks in advance to ensure that I have availability in my schedule to give your work the attention it deserves.
Fiction manuscript editing: Normally $3.95 per page, but only $3.45 through May!
Nonfiction manuscript proofreading and citing: $3.50 per page
Please note that I am competent with academic editing and have extensive experience editing academic works, beginning when I was a college student and my professors requested that I edit my peers' exam papers.  It is exceedingly rare to find an editor who has sufficient expertise and experience to work with scholarly subjects.
Résumé (without cover letter): $35
Résumé revision and cover letter: $60
Job application (I'll coordinate your job search from finding job opportunities to preparing your résumé to applying to securing an interview!  I have helped dozens of unemployed people -- don't do it alone!): $15 per application, or 10 jobs for $100, INCLUDING job searches.
College application: $50 per college essay, from brainstorming to drafting to submission; $100 for an entire application
AUTHORS:  You don't have to raise much at once!  You pay by the page, and I don't start editing the next chapter until you have paid for the previous one, so there is no financial pressure.  You don't receive an edited chapter until the invoice is met, so the timing of when you pay and the amount is entirely up to you.
Professional editing is  unavoidably  pricey -- I spend an average of 50 hours on every single manuscript that crosses my desk, and I have to charge enough to be decently compensated for my time.  But when you take into consideration that I can bill you by the chapter or even by the page, any project becomes affordable!
ANYTHING that is destined for publication is worth having professionally edited.  Your readership, reviews, and reputation will suffer if you choose to publish without procuring professional editing.  But it needn't be unaffordable!  I have never had a dissatisfied client, and I guarantee that your manuscript will be immaculate after I have combed through it.
School papers, which comprise a substantial amount of my workload, are priced individually because each one requires a different amount of work.  If you are submitting a project such as a term paper or final exam, please note that I receive far too many requests in finals weeks to meet all of them.  If you need a school paper edited, I strongly urge you to reserve my time in advance.  That being said, I do offer rush rates!
RUSH RATES
(Great for students or authors on a tight deadline!  Other editors don't offer this!):
24 - 48 hours: 25% - 50% increase in price
Less than 24 hours: 50% increase in price or doubled
